Deep in the heart of rural Moldova are orchards and vines that have, for generations, been tended and harvested. The produce is still processed according to traditional principles. Plums, apricots and grapes that are excess to immediate need are preserved by drying, and fibre, minerals and antioxidants are conserved.
These are then transformed into premium quality desert chocolates, in combination with raw honey, nuts, seeds and other healthy, local ingredients.
Characterised by a satisfying contrast of pure, sweet fruit flavour, nutty texture, and rich, bitter, dark chocolate, this is a match made in Heaven for those who appreciate fine food, honestly grown, with minimum corruption of modern additives.
Ingredients: pitted dried plums, walnuts kernels, chocolate icing
Ingridients: sunflower seeds shelled, honey, chocolate icing.
This story begins in 1997, with a company called Vioniservice, whose main mission back then was to preserve excess plums, though drying, from the rich Moldovan harvest. This pure, dried product was then transported all around the country to be incorporated into other premium food products.
In 2012, Vioniservice, capitalising on the quality of their product, and with access to related primary growers (apricots, walnuts, honey, etc), launched an exciting new brand of their own – Rifero.
Rifero dessert chocolates represent the pinnacle of pure indulgence, for those who care about the source and quality of the food they consume. The brand goes from strength to strength as more consumers discover its sublime taste and healthy benefits. It is now available to discerning customers in the UK and Ireland.
